I’ve heard that too. But I found that its from a store that doesn’t have their systems set right.
The idea behind what I do is to only use the coupons when something (brand-name) is on sale. The big savings comes in when that store doubles the coupon as well. Thats how you end up with free items.
I don’t disagree with buying bulk items and generics. Its a good plan. But if you can get what you are looking for for free, you can’t beat that.

I’ve learned to save much more money by buying bulk items (noodles, flour, rice, etc.) and generics. Using coupons always cost me more money because I have to buy name brands. I’ve heard of people using coupons and actually getting money back. For the life of me I can’t figure out how they do it.
