How much on AVERAGE does it cost 1 person per month in utilities? (regardless of location)?
I'm looking for a place to move and I am wondering whether it would be worth it to just pay a higher rent with utilities included, or a lower rent and pay utilities separately. So I am asking what the average use of each utility is per any one person such as water, heat/gas, and electricity. The fact of paying separate bills is not an issue. =] thanks.
There is NO "Average" for anyone ….
The cost of utilities depends on YOU and how much that YOU use ….
Like: The Cold level for your refrigerator and freezer , what temp your A/C and heat is set on , what temp your hot water tamk is on , do you use 40 or 60 or 100 watt light bulbs and do you leave lights and tv on all over your home …
There are just way too many variables for ANYONE to give you an "Average" ….. Sorry .
I'd suggest that you call the utility companies and ask what the "BUDGET" ammount is for an apartment ….. that way you will get an Idea based on what the people before you paid …. ect.

This question is unanswerable. The location is the sole factor in determining how much utilities will cost, since heat is one of the biggest cost of utilities.

We can't answer that with absolutes w/o an area.
Google your area and look it up.
Say you live in CT, google…
CT + average utility bill
you'll find answers in your search.
