Ernie Fernandez, owner of the Lolo Community Garage, says a simple and relatively inexpensive hydrogen booster installed on his 1965 Ford Galaxy has increased mileage from 14 miles per gallon to around 40 mpg. “You can feel the performance – you can hear the performance,” Fernandez says.

The St. Michael-Albertville High School supermilage team is heading to its first trip at Brainerd International Raceway next month to compete with 50 schools. The team constructed the lightweight car from scratch with the goal of attaining 400 miles per gallon.
